You can't buy Emotiva gear like the UMC-200 pre/pro and UPA-700 amp we just reviewed in retail stores, but if you're in the Chicago area this weekend, you can see it and hear it for yourself, on Saturday, April 13 from 9 am to 5 pm.

For the company's On the Road series, Emotiva packed loads of its gear into a 40-foot trailer, and it's setting up shop at the Chicago Marriott Naperville. It's free, and Emotiva even provides food and beverages.

Here's how the company describes the event:

"We're stuffing everything that we can fit into a 40 ft. trailer: over 1,000 lbs of gear, a pop-up home theater on wheels, our favorite tunes, and the Emotiva crew. This is your chance to hear for yourself just how much high-end audiophile quality sound you can get for your money - if you're a smart shopper.

"When you get there, we'll have two separate rooms set up inside for you to listen to: one with a state-of-the-art home theater system, the other with a real audiophile two channel system. We'll also have more home theater equipment set up in the 'Emotiva Lounge'; our travelling hospitality entertainment center."
