During an impromptu trip to Europe to med a broken heart, Frank unexpectedly finds himself in a flirtatious encounter with Elise, an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Sony delivers an often breathtaking visual presentation for this Blu-ray. Fine object detail is incredible at times with amazing definition in close ups. The Venice backdrop provides plenty of depth and dimensionality and the brighter image really shows of the highlights of high definition imagery. My only complaint would have to be the color palette, which are variations of teal and orange throughout. Next to the Transformers series, I don’t think I’ve seen this much teal in a movie. The DTS-HD Master Audio mix is fun with a nice mix of main soundstage and surrounds and dynamic range is solid. There is some nice low end punch when needed and the balance of the mix is superb.

Sony has released this Blu-ray in two versions with one featuring a DVD copy of the film alongside the Blu-ray. The rest of the extras remain the same and give insight into the production and locales and also feature an audio commentary, interviews and deleted scenes.

Overall this was a decent film but I think it could have been so much more. Jolie is almost devoid of personality throughout and despite the danger portrayed onscreen there is never any real sense of peril or even intensity. Great idea, ho hum execution. But Sony has delivered the presentation in spades making this an easy recommend for fans of the film.
