RSL Speakers Speedwoofer 10S Subwoofer: $399

RSL’s Speedwoofer 10S is the subwoofer to beat if you’re a stickler for bass but have only 400 bucks to spend. Avowed bass-oholic and veteran reviewer David Vaughn was stunned by its performance: “On music, the bass was tight, with no overhang to speak of. Not once did I feel the sound was sloppy or inarticulate…Until I hear something better, when someone asks me to recommend a budget sub under $500, this will be the first I’ll mention. And a sub under $1,000? I’ll recommend two of them.”
