Marantz’s new M-CR611 “CD receiver” may look old-school but beneath its CD/AM/FM façade is a wireless music streamer that supports high-res playback.

In addition to its “one-push” Wi-Fi connect button and Apple AirPlay, the receiver supports Bluetooth streaming with NFC for quick smartphone hookups and provides quick access to thousands of Internet radio stations, Spotify Connect, SiriusXM, and Pandora.

Other highlights include an integrated 2x60-watt amplifier, a front-panel USB port, two digital inputs, and an Android/iOS compatible remote control app. Supported audio files include ALAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, and DSD.

The M-CR611 will be available this month with a suggested retail price of $699. More information is available at marantz.com.
