Netflix now disc-free on the PS3 and Wii
It's a one-two punch today for Netflix-loving gamers. No longer do Wii and PS3 owners need to swap out discs to watch videos over Netflix. Downloadable apps are now available on both game systems that allow users to watch Netflix's Watch Instantly library.
Wii owners can access Netflix by downloading the free Netflix program from the Wii Shop Channel. PS3 owners can grab the free Netflix program from the Playstation Store. The Wii software doesn't add any new features, but the PS3 program offers 1080p video and 5.1-channel surround sound for content that supports it. Both services require a subscription to Netflix.
