The last piece to Pioneer’s 2016 AV puzzle is the 5.1-channel VSX-531 AV receiver, which is now available for $250.

Described as a perfect starter receiver, the VSX-531 is rated to deliver 5 x 80 watts into 8 ohms, supports Ultra HD (4K/60p/4:4:4) pass-through with HDCP 2.2, and is compatible with the new high-dynamic range (HDR) content.

The receiver is also equipped with Bluetooth streaming, a front-panel USB port, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround-sound processing, and Pioneer’s Advanced Sound Retriever, which is said to enhance the sound quality of compressed audio files.
