Polk today introduced the Omni S6 wireless speaker. Intended for medium to large rooms, the $350 speaker is the latest addition to the company’s Omni line of wireless speakers.

As with other models in the Omni line, the S6 supports the open, Wi-Fi-based DTS Play-Fi platform and provides multiroom access to personal music libraries, Spotify Connect, Pandora, Internet radio stations, and other streaming services via the free Polk Omni app, which the company says is being updated to improve setup and usability.

The compact S6 is the first model in the Omni line that can re-stream music to other Omni speakers from a device plugged into its 3.5mm minijack, according to Polk. The speaker contains stereo pairs of 4-inch drivers and 0.75-inch tweeters, powered by a four-channel 100-watt digital amplifier, but can also be set up to work as a left or right channel when two S6 speakers are used.
