Ricoh Introduces First Home Theater Projector
Ricoh has introduced its first home theater projector, a 3D-capable single-chip DLP model offering 1920 x 1080 resolution that sells for $1,165.
Capable of displaying images up to a 25 feet (diagonal), the Ricoh PJ HDC5420 utilizes a six-segment RGBRGB color wheel for “richer colors and faithful skin tone reproduction,” including sections of cyan, yellow, and white to help increase brightness.
Key specs and features include:
• 0.65-inch DLP chip
• 16:9 aspect ratio
• 2,500 lumens of brightness
• 9,000:1 contrast ratio
• MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link)
• Multiple image and color correction modes help compensate for projection surface color, ambient lighting, and video format
• Eco mode doubles lamp life (from 3,000 to 6,000 hours)
