Samsung Showcases “Vision AI” and Expanded TV Lineup at CES First Look 2025
Vision AI: Samsung’s Interpretation of Adaptive Screens
Samsung states that Vision AI, which will appear on its Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame models, is designed to personalize the viewer experience through features like:
Click to Search: Samsung says this tool identifies on-screen actors or items without pausing the show.
Live Translate: Reportedly uses on-device AI to offer real-time translations for subtitles in as many as seven languages.
Generative Wallpaper: Promises to create custom artwork for a TV screen using AI.
Samsung also indicates these Vision AI–driven screens will plug into the SmartThings ecosystem with functions such as “Home Insights,” which are described as real-time environmental updates, and “Pet and Family Care,” a feature designed to detect unusual movements or events.
The company claims that on-device AI also enhances audio and picture quality by analyzing content frame-by-frame. Some aspects of Vision AI, such as Click to Search and Live Translate, received the 2025 CES Innovation Award, according to Samsung.
AI Partnerships
Samsung announced it is collaborating with Microsoft to offer Microsoft Copilot on selected 2025 Samsung TVs and Smart Monitors. The company further notes that it intends to expand the AI “screen ecosystem” by working with Google and other partners in the future.
Neo QLED 8K QN990F and Expanding Lineups
According to Samsung, its Neo QLED 8K QN990F flagship TV will lead this year’s lineup, featuring what the company calls the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor for upscaling, adaptive sound, and “scene-adaptive” color. Samsung also plans to broaden its Neo QLED 4K offerings with larger sizes and introduce three new OLED models, highlighted by the S95F.
Art Store and The Frame Pro
Samsung’s Art Store, which the company says now features 3,000-plus works from partners including MoMA and the estates of Magritte and Basquiat, is being added to more TV categories, such as Neo QLED and QLED. Samsung also plans a new version of The Frame, called The Frame Pro, which it says uses a Neo QLED display for brighter colors and deeper black levels. Wireless One Connect is also included for a cleaner installation.
Samsung has formed a partnership with Art Basel, describing The Frame as the “official art display” of that global art fair. The company’s goal, it states, is to bring curated artwork into more homes.
Other Announcements: Triple-Laser Projector, “Beauty Mirror”
Samsung introduced The Premiere 5, which the manufacturer describes as the first interactive triple-laser ultra–short-throw projector. Alongside standard projection, it purports to offer interactive touch capabilities and something called “Samsung LightWARP” for projecting images onto various objects.
Another addition is the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror, which Samsung says combines a mirror’s reflective properties with its smart TV functions. Samsung indicates it worked with Korean cosmetics brand Amorepacific to analyze skin types and propose personalized beauty recommendations via this display.
Pricing, Availability, and Preorder
Samsung encourages those interested in these 2025 products to register at the company’s website for updates and a preorder credit. No specific shipping dates or prices have been announced as of press time.
