Sequence Strata Speaker System, Primare DVD26 DVD Player & SPA21 Surround Processor/Amplifier HT Labs Measures: Sequence Strata Speaker System
L/R Sensitivity: 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
Center Sensitivity: 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
Surround Sensitivity: 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Strata 2000 L/R (purple trace), REL Q108 subwoofer (blue trace), Strata 2000C center channel (green trace), and Strata 1000 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.
The Strata 2000's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.13/–3.66 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 129 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 105 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.73 ohms at 12.7 kHz and a phase angle of –40.83 degrees at 5.0 kHz.
The Strata 2000C's listening-window response measures +1.64/–3.52 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.57/–4.85 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 129 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 104 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.56 ohms at 13.6 kHz and a phase angle of –42.21 degrees at 5.1 kHz.
The Strata 1000's listening-window response measures +1.62/–3.06 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 141 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 103 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.56 ohms at 13.1 kHz and a phase angle of –35.87 degrees at 5.9 kHz.
The REL Q108's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 59 Hz and the –6dB point is at 50 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 110 Hz with the LFE-crossover switch set to out.—MJP
