Sony’s newest 4K, HDR, LCD-LED flat panel display is the 85-inch X900F. It employs the company’s X1 Extreme video processor, together with full array local dimming . One look made me salivate as to how this might almost substitute for a projection setup, though it’s still smaller than my 96-inch (wide) screen. But apart from off-axis fading (still good up to an estimated 30-degrees, however) it was impressive. But not as impressive as the 85-inch, 8K Sony described above. Available in the spring, price TBD.
