Yep, it’s that time of the year when the Super Bowl TV specials start hitting our inbox.

A couple days ago it was LG offering 30 and 35% off two 4K OLED TVs. Today, Vizio announced that its flagship PQ65-F1 65-inch LED-lit LCD set is available for $1,499 at Costco through Super Bowl Sunday (February 3) — 28% off its $2,100 list price.

Calling it the “best deal in 4K HDR TVs,” Vizio reminded us that the P-Series Quantum set, which made Sound & Vision’s 2018 Top Pick of the Year list, has 192 full-array local diming zones and now supports Dolby Vision high-dynamic range (HDR) processing to “take full advantage of the display’s UltraBright 2000+ Nit peak brightness” through a recently issued firmware update. The TV also supports HDR10 and HLG high-dynamic range.

Of course, the rub (for some of us) is that you need a Costco membership to take advantage of the deal. But at $60/year for a basic membership, it just might make sense to join.
