Vizio VHT510 Soundbar Speaker System HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the VHT510 soundbar (purple trace) and subwoofer (blue trace). The left channel was measured in Stereo mode with grill at a distance of 1 meter. Please note that the lack of a multichannel analog input precluded measuring the center and surround channels.
The VHT510’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +4.77/–1.96 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +5.47/–1.49 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 128 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 112 Hz.
The subwoofer’s closemiked response, normalized to the level at 60 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 41 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 37 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 82 Hz.—MJP
