Sonos Gets Sirius via the Net
Getting Sirius got a little easier last week with the announcement that the Sonos Digital Music System would support the internet version of Sirius satellite radio. Connect your Sonos system to the net and you can get 80 Sirius channels--for a fee, of course.
This marks the first time Sirius has offered a broadband service for home use. Using Sonos version 2.3 software, it will operate without an antenna, satellite radio hardware, or a PC. The cost will be an extra $2.95 per month for existing Sirius subscribers or $12.95 for Sirius Internet Radio without satellite service.
An online demo is available on the Sonos site.
