iPad Your Dish
Hardly a week goes by without an announcement by some cable or satellite service that it now supports one internet connected portable device or another. The latest happy couple are the Dish Network and the iPad.
Download the appropriate Apple Store app and your iPod will be able to watch live or recorded programming from your Dish Network feed with the help of a Dish DVR and Sling-enabled device like the Sling Adapter pictured here. You'll also be able to schedule recordings. All this is part of a longterm, multifaceted effort to bring 21st century convenience to Dish's dishes. In fact, just a week ago, the Dishies had also released an Android version of the same app.
See various Engadget stories on the Dish iPad app, Dish Android app, and the Dish/Sling relationship. The first two stories click through to the official press releases.
