Interview with /Kill Bill/'s Uma Thurman

She first caught our attention with her spectacular entrance as the goddess Venus on the half-shell in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. She made even greater splashes as the virginal innocent in Dangerous Liaisons and, the following year, at age 19, playing the complex sexual sophisticate June in Henry & June. Since then she's been in many more costume movies - from the dramas Les Misérables and The Golden Bowl to the action pics Batman & Robin and The Avengers. It was with director Quentin Tarantino, though, that Uma Thurman created an icon - the bob-haired gang-boss wife, Mrs. Wallace, in Pulp Fiction. Now, with 30 films under her belt, she's starring in the martial-arts pop-art madness that is Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 (which is coming soon to DVD).
