David Vaughn is a contributing writer for Home Theater magazine and HomeTheater.com. He started reviewing DVDs for HomeTheaterSpot.com in 2004 and has reviewed over 1300 titles on DVD, HD DVD, and Blu-ray. As a true home-theater geek, David is an active member on various home-theater forums, including avsforum.com and blu-ray.com. His favorite genres include science fiction, historical drama, and fantasy, though his overall interests are much wider.

David's home-theater system includes an Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player, JVC DLA-RS1 projector, Stewart FireHawk screen, Onkyo Pro PR-SC885 preamp/processor, Anthem PVA-7 power amp, M&K 150 speakers, and SVS PC-Ultra subwoofer with acoustical treatments by GIK Acoustics.
