Lenbrook, owner of Bluesound and the renowned NAD and PSB brands, today announced that its BluOS music-management platform will receive a robust update this fall aimed at revitalizing the mobile app experience and delivering a more personalized way to control music across multiple listening zones.

The update will bring a number of enhancements, including a redesigned user interface, improved player control, and more streamlined navigation and search functionality. The company will formally introduce the 4.0 version of its BluOS app next week in Denver at CEDIA 2023 (watch for our coverage).

With the updated app, users will be able to toggle easily between Now Playing and Play Queue screens with a new icon for the grouping and indicators for sampled audio quality and the zone playing.

Other BluOS 4.0 upgrades will include…

• A navigation bar with icons for Home, Favorites, Music Players, and Search to provide quick and easy access to key features.

• A Favorites screen that can be customized by playlists, artists, albums, songs, and stations for more targeted access to desired music.

• A Music screen that consolidates music sources, streaming services, and device inputs in one area to make it easier to switch between connected zones.

• A dedicated Search screen that searches by music service for faster, more targeted results.

Starting October 17th, users of the BluOS Controller app will be prompted to download the new 4.0 firmware. The BluOS platform/ecosystem manages locally stored and cloud-based music sources and playback, with support for high-resolution audio streams up to 24 bits/192 kHz.
